Welcome to the temporary home page for Shining Within Studios. We offer audio recording for a wide variety of spoken word events, guided meditations, books on tape, and other spoken word performances.

Have you considered creating a CD to promote your business? Experiencing it can make the difference, especially when what you’re offering is unfamiliar to many people, or requires a little explaining.

Peter Craig, owner and recording engineer, started this business after seeing the difficulty that friends were having promoting unique businesses on small budgets. “I found that many people are creating businesses that reflect their personal spirit and their passion. Many are not mainstream products that the public is familiar with: alternative health practices, workshops, meditations, books, etc. Having a recording to hand our or sell really helps, but these people have limited budgets and may only need tens of copies. Traditional studios serve those who can afford a larger budget because they will sell thousands of copies, and for the most part their expertise is in recording music — not spoken word.”

A large studio can also be intimidating. At Shining Within Studios we work one-on-one in partnership with you to produce the recording you’re looking for. We go to your event and record it, as unobtrusively as possible, or record you in our voice booth in Hollis, NH. If you prefer, we can also take on the overall production of CDs, including artwork and short run duplication on CD-R. Larger runs can be made, when required, by subcontracting with a CD manufacturer. This allows you to try using the CD and decide whether or not to invest in the expense of a larger volume.
